style and flow

Esme teaches Vinyasa flow yoga with a focus on safe clean alignment. Everybody is unique and approaches movement in a different way. Esme has a firm belief that yoga is for all and as a teacher, Esme’s responsibility is to ensure that her students work to their individual potential. Her classes will be creatively and sensitively themed and accompanied by soulful music.

Modifications and different levels will be offered to accommodate what is going on in her students bodies in the present time.

Esme also teaches a Vinyasa flow foundation course for beginners and those who want to go back to working on clean alignment and basic form of asanas.

Pregnancy yoga is a modified form of yoga movement to support the changing body from 12 weeks right up until baby is born. Breathing techniques that can support you during birth - whether that is in hospital, at home, c-section or otherwise - will be invaluable and will also come in useful to help restore calm and emotional equilibrium once baby has made their entrance into the world.

Post-natal yoga is a gentle style of movement with much focus on rebuilding the body from the inside out, with safe and simple exercises to help with core strength and pelvic floor strengthening. Babies are included in these classes and will be offered baby massage, yoga and singing if they are happy to join in! Classes are also great way to make friends for life with babies of the same age.

Please let Esme know prior to signing up all classes if you are pregnant or post-natal.

After an hour, I was relaxed - properly; euphoric even? My body felt like mine again: rediscovered. I came away from my session feeling lucky, not just because I felt better after a long, busy and emotional day, but mostly because I don't think many people are taught with such care, attention to detail and gentleness. I had the best night sleep in years last night and I credit Esme with it. I literally cannot wait until the next session....How have I never done yoga before?

I was never able to understand yoga, I could never switch off and I used to find it frustrating until I joined Esme's class. She has a way of relating to you in a very normal but special way.  She totally puts you at ease even if you are a newcomer.  Her class was for all levels but I was never conscious of being "the new one".  Each lesson was different/varied and I always left in a more calm and positive mood
